First Quarter 2025 RCDC 8 Meeting Held Successfully

On Friday, 24 January 2025, the First Quarter Regional Cooperative Development Council (RCDC) 8 Meeting convened at 9:00 AM in the NEDA Regional Office VIII, bringing together key stakeholders from the cooperative sector to discuss pressing issues and share updates to advance cooperative development in the region.

The meeting, organized by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region VIII Extension Office, provided a platform to tackle vital agenda points:

  1. Identification of Issues and Concerns of Cooperatives and Proposed Agency Support – Discussions centered on challenges faced by cooperatives and the necessary interventions to empower them.
  2. CDA Updates – Updates from the Cooperative Development Authority gave attendees insights into recent developments and upcoming initiatives in cooperative governance.
  3. Update from the President of the Cooperatives Agricultural Cluster – The cluster president shared progress and opportunities within the agricultural cooperative sector.
  4. Presentation of the RCDC 8 Local Website – A showcase of the new RCDC 8 website highlighted its features and potential to streamline communication and information dissemination.
  5. Other Matters – Additional topics relevant to the cooperative community were also addressed.

The meeting was graced by Mr. Frank Roy, Project Coordinator of Kalipunan ng Maliliit na Magniniyog ng Pilipinas (KAMMPIL), who generously provided lunch and morning snacks with the support of KAMMPIL staff, fostering a collaborative and welcoming atmosphere for all participants.

With the CDA Region VIII Extension Office expertly managing the flow of discussions, the meeting served as a significant step in fostering cooperation and addressing critical concerns within the region’s cooperative movement.
